Exploring the Underground Beauty and Comfort at Endless Caverns RV Resort

Nestled in the picturesque town of New Market, Virginia, Endless Caverns RV Resort is perfectly situated just a short drive away from the breathtaking landscapes of Shenandoah National Park, making it an ideal base for nature enthusiasts.

Situated a mere 2 miles off Interstate 81, it’s a convenient escape from the highway’s hustle and bustle, while its proximity to Shenandoah National Park, approximately 45 minutes away, places you within easy reach of awe-inspiring hikes and scenic drives through the Blue Ridge Mountains.

In this review, we’ll dive deep into the amenities, campsite experiences, and nearby attractions at Endless Caverns RV Resort, offering you an enticing glimpse of the wonders that await beneath the surface and in the beautiful Shenandoah Valley.

Amenities and Attractions

Rec Hall / Game Room

The rec hall is huge! There is tons of space for bingo, live music, food events and more. Inside the rec hall is even a game room, so it’s a great place for parents to go hang out and play bingo and let the kids enjoy time inside the game room.

Gem Mining

I don’t know about your kids, but our girls are obsessed with rocks. So, when they see a gem mining set up, they are all for it. What makes this one even cooler is that there is an on-site cave tour, so being able to see the inside of a cave and then do the gem mining experience is pretty awesome!

Hiking Trails

We love when campgrounds offer hiking trails inside of the campground. For one, it makes it very simple and easy to go out in the morning or evening and get exercise in nature. No need to drive anywhere when you can just walk from your campsite to the entrance of the trail head.

Catch and Release Pond

The catch and release pond has beautiful views of the mountains and offers a great spot for all ages to grab their poles and head down to the pond. Fishing and camping just go hand in hand, so when we get the chance to get the poles in the water at a campground, we will always do it.

Playground

Traveling fulltime with two kids, playgrounds are a must at a campground. This playground had more than just a slide, so we always love when playgrounds have a full playground set. There were also two other areas that had swings.

One of them overlooked the Shenandoah Valley which was pretty amazing!

Pool

The pool was closed during our visit which was in October 2023, however, it is a great size pool that has a walk in “zero entry” with a splash fountain set up.

Sunset at the Sign

During our stay, we had a couple nights of rain which didn’t allow us to do this, but this is what sets Endless Caverns RV Resort apart from others is the opportunity to hike to the Endless Caverns sign!

You can see the Endless Caverns sign from Interstate 81 and when you come to the campground you can hike right up to it and get a beautiful look at the sun setting over the valley.

We highly recommend this!

Ways to Stay

Cabins

If you do not own an RV, but you still want to come visit the Endless Caverns and spend a weekend or longer, you can! They offers different cabins / cottages with multiple different floor plans to fit your specific needs.

You can check out all of the different floor plans and options of the cabins at Endless Caverns RV Resort on their website!

RV Sites

Endless Caverns RV Resort has several different type of RV sites that you can book.

We personally had a pull-thru full hook up site which had plenty of space for our RV and truck. Our Fifth wheel is 40′ long and we had room to park our truck in the front and the back of the RV, so there was easily at least 80′ in our pull-thru site.

There were back in sites for all different size RVs also.

Majority of the sites that we saw seemed to be pretty easy back-ins. There were some that looked like it could be a little tricky, but overall, shouldn’t be a problem.

With our size rig and rigs possibly larger, you can stay at the resort, but just use caution on the internal roads, as the hills are pretty steep and some turns are tight, however, this is definitely a big-rig friendly campground!

Internet

This campground is filled with trees, which provided a beautiful camping scenery as we stayed here during the Fall foliage timeframe. For internet purposes, it was not good for Starlink. We actually didn’t even bother taking the Starlink out of the RV because there was no real open spots for it.

We used our T-Mobile home device and it worked well enough to stream YouTube TV, Zoom meetings and normal internet browsing.
